Леонід Олександрович Морозов народився 7 січня 1946 р. у Києві. Мистецькі штудії здобував у Прибалтиці та Україні. Член Національної Спілки художників України з 1994 р.
Творче життя Леоніда Морозова розпочалося з першої участі у виставці акварелі Спілки художників України у 1964 р. Потім була робота в художньому фонді України. Він займався оформленням Києва при міськвиконкомі. Брав участь в оформленні Києва до Олімпіади 1980 р. (відзначено низкою почесних, грамот).
Після успішної роботи у Київміськвиконкомі він перейшов на викладацьку роботу у Київський Художньо-промисловий технікум «КХПТ» (тепер це інститут Декоративного Прикладного Мистецтва ім. М. Бойчука).
Все життя і творчість Леонід Морозов намагався сприяти утвердженню позицій правдивого реалізму як найдемократичнішого мистецького напрямку.
Після 25 років виховання творчої молоді він пішов на творчу роботу - щоденно клопітку працю, звірену зі старими майстрами світового рівня. Цьому також сприяли поїздки за кордон.
З закордону Леонід Морозов повертався збагачений враженнями, рисунками та начерками - це своєрідні дорожні нотатки, які з часом набули живої плоті в закінчених картинах-етюдах. Він був закоханий в мистецтво, у «пізнаванність». Цей прийом був для нього принциповим.
Як живописець Леонід Морозов намагався більше схиляти глядача до ліричного сприйняття робіт, що говорить про те, що він незримо закоханий в рідну землю.
Здобутки Морозова на ниві образотворчого мистецтва були представлені на Всеукраїнських міжнародних художніх виставках. Про визнання творчості свідчать численні публікації в пресі.
Його живописні та графічні твори зберігаються у музеї Гамбурга, приватних колекціях Японії, Болгарії, Китаю, Австралії, Англії, США, Канади, Бельгії, Італії та Ізраїлю.

Leonid Alexandrovich Morozov was born on January 7, 1946 in Kyiv. He studied art in the Baltics and Ukraine. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1994.
Leonid Morozov's creative life began with his first participation in the exhibition of watercolors of the Union of Artists of Ukraine in 1964. Then there was work in the art fund of Ukraine. He was engaged in registration of Kyiv at the city executive committee. He took part in the registration of Kyiv for the 1980 Olympics (he was awarded a number of honorary diplomas).
After successful work in the Kyiv City Executive Committee, he moved to teach at the Kyiv Art and Industrial College (now it is the Institute of Decorative Applied Arts named after M. Boychuk).
All his life and work Leonid Morozov tried to promote the position of true realism as the most democratic artistic direction.
After 25 years of educating creative youth, he went to creative work - daily hard work, comparison with old world-class masters. This was also facilitated by foreign trips.
Leonid Morozov returned from abroad enriched with impressions, drawings and sketches - these are a kind of travel notes, which eventually acquired a living flesh in the finished sketches. He was in love with art, with "recognizability". This technique was fundamental for him.
As a painter Leonid Morozov tried to persuade the audience more to the lyrical direction of the work, which suggests that he is invisibly in love with his native land.
Morozov's achievements in the field of fine arts were presented at the All-Ukrainian International Art Exhibitions. Numerous publications in the press testify to the recognition of creativity.
His paintings and graphics are stored in the Hamburg Museum, private collections in Japan, Bulgaria, China, Australia, England, USA, Canada, Belgium, Italy and Israel.
