Акім Левiч - український живописець, графік. Член Національної спілки художників України (1967). Один із провідних представників українського андерграунду кінця 1960-х - першої половини 1980-х років.
Якiм Левiч закінчив факультет живопису Київського Державного художнього інституту (1961, майстерня С. Григор'єва).
З початку 1960-х був художником-графіком та ілюстратором дитячої літератури у видавництві «Веселка», з 1974 р. - головний художній редактор журналу «Малятко».
У 1970-х роках ілюстрував дитячі повісті Г. Тютюнника.
У 1958-1970-х роках - учасник безлічі виставок живопису та графіки.
З 1970 по 1985 його картини не експонувалися.
Головні виставки робіт Левiча відбулися наприкінці 1980-х - на початку 2000 років.
«Андеграунд - це поразка. Але його неуспіх і є, напевно, його головним змістом», - каже Левiч.
У 1950-х Левiч переходить до власної концепції живопису, що об'єднала жанровість сюжетного мотиву з багатошаровою тональною кольоровою гамою та ускладненим мальовничим простором.
Еволюція творчості Левiча й у покоління шістдесятників, що у умовах кризи соцреалізму шукало змогу індивідуального прояви.
Підкреслена індивідуальна авторська манера, метафорична образність та коло сюжетів, далеких від соцреалістичної тематики, визначили «неофіційний» статус художника.
1991 року Левiч став автором скульптурних рельєфів пам'ятного знака «Менора» у Бабиному Яру в Києві (архітектор Ю. Паскевич, інженер Б. Гіллер, художники Левiчі).
Його твори знаходяться у Національному художньому музеї Києва, Сумському художньому музеї, Музеї історії міста Києва, Музеї мистецтв Нью-Джерсі, США.

Akim Levich is a Ukrainian painter, graphic artist. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1967). One of the leading representatives of the Ukrainian underground of the late 1960s - the first half of the 1980s.
Akim Levich graduated from the painting department of the Kyiv State Art Institute (1961, workshop of S. Grigoriev).
Since the early 1960s, he has been a graphic artist and illustrator of children's literature at the “Veselka” publishing house, since 1974 he has been the chief art editor of the “Malyatko” magazine.
In the 1970s, he illustrated children's stories by G. Tyutyunnik.
In 1958-1970, he participated in many exhibitions of painting and graphics.
From 1970 to 1985, his paintings were not exhibited.
Major exhibitions of Levich's work took place in the late 1980s and early 2000s.
“The underground is defeat. But his failure is probably his main point,” says Levich.
In the mid-1950s, Levich moved to his own concept of painting, which combined the genre of a plot motif with a multi-layered tonal color scheme and a complicated pictorial space.
The evolution of Levich's work is typical for the generation of the sixties, which, in the conditions of the crisis of socialist realism, was looking for opportunities for individual manifestation.
Emphasized individual author's style, metaphorical imagery and a range of subjects far from socialist realist themes determined the "unofficial" status of the artist.
In 1991, Levich became the author of sculptural reliefs of the memorial sign "Menorah" in Babyn Yar in Kyiv (architect Y. Paskevich, engineer B. Giller, artists the Leviches).
His works are in the National Art Museum of Kyiv, the Sumy Art Museum, the Kyiv History Museum, the Art Museum in New Jersey, USA.
